So when you first get started in referral trading, you begin by doing what people commonly refer to as “Method 1.” What that means is that you are being paid to “Green” for someone. So when you “Green” for somebody, you sign up using their referral link, you complete 1 credit worth of offers, or more depending on the site, and then you can get paid. If you don’t understand what this means, or why you get paid, I will break it down simply for you:

When you go green, your referrer (if it’s a one referral cash out) gets paid by the IFW site. That is why they are paying you, so they in turn can get paid. It’s common for people to pay their referrals anywhere from 50% or higher. Anything less than 50% I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole, because there will be another trader to pay better. That is not to say always go with the person who pays the highest. You may want to develop a good relationship with a trader, a long term one, and you’ll want to be involved with someone who you trust and get along with well. There are a lot of fly by night people out there, and you don’t really want to get involved with that.

That’s basically all that entails “Method 1.” You just “Green” on your referrer’s site and you get paid. It’s pretty simple and anyone with a valid debit or credit card that is able to complete offers can do this. There are many different types of offers out there and they also vary by site. Make sure that before you pick a site to “Green” on that you have checked out the offers on the site. This way you can be sure that you are interested in them and that there are some available that you haven’t tried out yet. Most sites and offers have a requirement that you haven’t done them before, or at least haven’t done them for a certain period of time. I recommend always checking the TOS on the sites you use, and the offers you pick.

So the quick and short of it is that Rocketbills is a stand up legitimate site. It’s one I highly recommend based on personal experience and general consensus of the freebie community. To begin I’d like to briefly explain why proper offer crediting is important. There are at any given time, a set amount of offers out there in the Freebie world that you can complete. You want to treat these offers like the precious gems they are and not waste them arbitrarily. Although some people may think it’s no big deal and they can just do another one, you could find yourself running out of “desirable” offers pretty quick. Besides, why do you want to pay for something and not get recognized for it?

Let’s begin:

Before you start you should have already begun to work with a trader and signed up as a referral. If you haven’t feel free to contact me HERE. Once again we are working under the assumption you have completed the steps in parts 1 and 2.

1. Connect to the internet. Keep in mind do not use a connection behind a proxy or an ISP that uses proxies like AOL.

2. Open up your web browser. Preferably Firefox.

3. Go to Tools, Clear Private Data and make sure all your cookies are cleared. What are cookies?

4. Go to the website you’re currently working on. Example Rocketbills.

5. Log onto the site.

6. Click on the offers tab/link in the sites navigation menu.

7. Look over the offers available to you. See which ones interest you and pick them based on these criteria.

• A. Cost. Is the amount of money it takes to complete the offer acceptable to you?
• B. Crediting time. How long will the offer take to give credit? Are you and your trader in a rush to finish or can you take your time?
• C. Length of trial. How long do you have to try the product/service before being charged.
• D. Interest. Are you interested at all in the product/service? It’s important to try things you might like.
• E. Offer worth. How much of a credit is it worth? Some sites give more value to offers than others. Make sure the credit value is fair.

8. After following the above, click on the offer you want to complete. (Reminder: Have pop up blockers turned off)

9. When you arrive at the landing page fill out the required information to complete the offer or to move to the offers next completion step. Make sure that you do not use fake information and I suggest using the same email that you used on your IFW site. Example: Rocketbills. Also it is imperative that you use a real debit or credit card. Do not use any prepaid ones as this could violate the sites TOS (Terms of Service) and place your account into a hold status.

10. Once you’ve completed the offer and have a confirmation on your screen, print or save the page immediately. Make sure you DO NOT navigate away from the confirmation page. Stay on the page for no less then 5 minutes to ensure proper crediting. Having followed the instructions in step 10 you also increase the chances of being able to do an MCR (manual credit request) if available.

11. Once the above is complete close all tabs/windows but one. Then go to your homepage. Once there clear all cookies again by going to Tools, Clear Private Data.

*NOTE* It has been brought to my attention that you don’t have to clear cookies after each offer. Just at the beginning and before working a different Freebie Website.*

12. Repeat steps 1-10 for the next offer.

If you follow these steps it will be much easier for you when you are doing your Freebie Trading. Having your offers properly credited to you, and to your IFW site is crucial. Tools:

1. Roboform. Roboform is a password manager and form filler. Theres a limited free version and a pro version. It is a must have in doing the Freebie business. Makes doing everything very efficient and fast.

2. Firefox. Firefox is a fast, secure, and customizable web browser. I think it’s the best web browser to use in general and especially for Freebie Trading.

Download Firefox.

3. Pidgin. Pidgin is a cross platform open source chat client. It’s important to have so that you can communicate with your referrals and other traders in your daily business communication.

Download Pidgin.

4. Paypal Plugin. *This is personal preference* I use the plugin sometimes but not always. If you don’t want to use your own credit/debit card you can use this plugin and it will generate a card number for you. You can make either multi-use or single use. So far most traders haven’t really had a problem with it, but I have had an issue with a disputed charge. It’s a longer process then other disputes on Paypal. I had to physically mail in a dispute form. It does have many useful features though. Some are listed below.

• Use Secure Cards to shop anywhere online
• Save and print your receipts
• Enter addresses with 1 click during checkout
• Avoid fraudulent websites
• Check your balance right from your browser

Log in and Download the Paypal Plugin

Preparation:

You should have completed all the steps that were listed in the previous posts. If you haven’t please go here. Read the post and finish the steps.

1. Pick a screen name that you are comfortable with. I suggest that you make it universal and use the same one for your forums and for your chat clients.

2. You’ll need to sign up at www.freelunchroom.com. This is the forum where I started and is an excellent source of information and support. You’ll be doing most of your business through this community, so it is a must join. Please use my referral link and sign up HERE. After you have completed these steps, you’re ready to start diving into Freebie Trading. Once you’re set up and we are in contact we can go over some sites that I’m working with and see which one you’d like to start on. In no time at all you’ll be able to receive your first payments to your Paypal. Once this happens you’ll probably feel like I did the first time. That “wow” feeling of actually getting money and being on your way to becoming an established Freebie trader.

Okay, let’s get started with the first step. Now I’m not going to be going over the mental and emotional preparations here with you. You can do that on your own, or we can do that another time. This is a quick basic “No-Nonsense” approach to getting started in Freebie trading. In fact these are steps to do in any online business. Think of this as the general course requirements at college, they’re the same for all the majors. So here we go with “Making that Internet Money 101″

1. Open a checking account to be used only for your internet business.

2. Open a Paypal account and connect it to your checking account and debit card.

3. Pick a unique memorable name or persona to do business as.

4. Register your own domain name. I think it best to use 1&1. It’s 5.99 for .com 1 year with private registration.

5. Get some good web hosting. I use Hostgator and I am very pleased.

6. Create multiple email addresses through your host provider that are tailored for your business uses.

7. Configure your email accounts with a centralized email client like MSOutlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.

This is the end of part 1. I decided after beginning the post that it would be too long for one entry so I decided to break it up. As you can see so far, I meant what I said when it will be “general” only instructions. These are all things that everyone should do when they start.

The FreeLunchRoom is the first FT forum I had ever been on. I got there a few months ago when I was googling how to get some money into my Paypal, ASAP! Then, just as now, I needed to make some extra money. I’m not an expert in business or marketing online. I have had some success with selling on Amazon and very minute success with writing articles. Other then that my marketing and PR skills have always best been suited with clubs and event promotions.

When I was searching google I arrived at a thread that was posted on the FreeLunchRoom. In it the user was claiming that she could get me 75 dollars in a mere matter of minutes! I of course was intrigued and was impressed that her TR (Trader Rating) was a few hundred. Meaning she had made a few hundred successful and legitimate transactions with other people. That kind of information is very reassuring, and I tell you that not many forums are as welcoming as this one.

Shortly thereafter I made my first trade and was rewarded with 30 dollars. Money that I made within 30 minutes. I was pretty excited to have gotten paid. It was very motivating and I started to see that there really was potential in this kind of business, even if you only do it as a hobby to get some goodies!

Once you do we’ll have a brief discussion and see about making you a contributor or author on the site. This is the best way to develop interaction and a wide range of helpful and quality content. As time goes by the process of posting and submitting media content such as videos and pictures will get easier. For now, please bear with me as we all get the hang of things, after all, this site and our journey into FT is a growth process.
